Purpose-built charter boat customised for NZ conditions

Enjoy a smoother, drier, more comfortable ride cruising at around 22 knots thanks to the innovative Carolina flared bow and Volvo 380hp marine diesel engine. The boat is a 10m (32.8ft) Maikaira, designed and built in New Zealand in 2024 to high specifications by a qualified naval architect for optimal performance in New Zealand sea conditions.

Meet the Skipper

Meet Franco, a passionate fisherman and experienced New Zealand skipper certified by Maritime New Zealand. With an SRL 24m seafarer certification,
Franco has a lifetime of boating experience.

He has worked as a skipper on both shallow braided rivers and the rough Pacific Ocean. His diverse work includes recreational boating trips, water research/sampling, vessel salvage, operating cruise ship lines boats, dolphin spotting, fishing, and more, giving him a deep appreciation and extensive knowledge of New Zealand's waters.
